Streets Ahead Dance Studios are excited to announce details of our "Street to Stage" Summer Camps.

Full days spent at our professional studios with instruction many different dance styles, musical theatre, drama, cheerleading & more.
Seniors 10am-4pm each day, Juniors 10am-2pm each day

Please ask about our bus service from Ashbourne, Navan, Balbriggan & Drogheda subject to demand.

Week 1: Monday 4th-Friday 8th July
Week 2: Monday 11th - Friday 15th July

Prices:

Juniors (4-7yrs) 20 hours per week for €100 (current streets ahead students pay only €70)
Seniors (8-12yrs/ 13-18yrs) 35 hours per week for €170 (current streets ahead students pay only €100)

What does the camp entail?

Variety is the spice of life and by covering many different styles throughout the week we hope to have the students discover new & hidden talents. Instruction in the following;

Musical Theatre/ Drama/ Singing
Drama games will loosen inhibitions & further develop confidence along with breaking down barriers between students & creating new friendships. Roles will be cast within the groups for spoken dialogue and 'Glee Style' musical theatre will be covered. Students will be encouraged to use their own creativity to put a personal stamp on each piece.
Dance (Many different dance styles will be covered over the course of the week including but not limited to hip hop, locking, breakdance, contemporary and ballet)
Cheerleading. (Learn basic tumbling skills, how to increase flexibility, jumps, leaps, partner & group stunting & cheer style dance routines including pom dance)

"The Show"

On the Friday of each week, parents & family will be invited to attend a show where the students will perform some of what they've learned throughout the week. The venue & times for the show will be confirmed at the camp.

Hip Hop & Breakdance "Crew Camps"

For this years All Ireland Hip Hop Championships in Trabolgan (7th-9th Oct), we will be running summer 'crew camps'

Each camp will last for 1 week (2 hours per day) and in this time the crew routine for Trabolgan will be taught.

The cost is €60 for each camp. If you're currently in a crew at Streets Ahead, your teacher will advise you of the correct crew for your ability. If you're new to Streets Ahead or haven't been on a crew before, please phone the studio and we will advise the best crew for you.

The time & date of each camp will differ depending on the crew. The following dates & times will have camps but please contact us to find out the correct info for you:

4th-8th July 6pm-8pm
4th-8th July 8pm-10pm
11th-15th July 6pm-8pm
11th-15th July 8pm-10pm

The following crews will be formed number permitting:

Breakdance Crew (open age)
Starter hip hop crew under 12yrs
Starter hip hop crew under 16yrs
Starter hip hop crew adult
Champion hip hop crew under 12yrs
Champion hip hop crew under 16yrs
Champion hip hop crew adult
Beginner Crews (depending on numbers)

Please note that a deposit of €30 per person for Trabolgan must be paid in addition to camp fee prior to the start of the camp.

Streets Ahead Dance & Performing
Arts is a performing arts school offering
classes for children from 2-18yrs
& for adults of all ages. Our full time state of the Art dance facility, boasts 5 mirrored studios, changing rooms, café, urban fashion store, waiting area & ample private parking.

A tracksuit and runners are the recommended attire for the course. Please wear non-marking runners to protect studio floors. We recommend that students do not wear jewellery and we ask that mobile phones are switched off during the course. In the event of an emergency, students can be reached by phoning reception on 01 8627973, therefore students should not need to have mobile phones switched on.

The rules are in place for each students safety. Any student found to be breaking the rules, or behaving in a manner deemed to be dangerous or disrespectful will be asked to leave without refund.
